Removing the localstore.rdf file solves the problem, but in my case it's

Disabling hpet (and using acpi_pm) didn't solve my video lockups. I
don't have the "CE: hpet increasing min_delta_ns" messages anymore and
no other messages but video still hangs after a while.

I can confirm this problem on Karmic. After a while playing videos they start

After upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04, I get errors from apparmor when
loading profiles. There was an old bug about this, #138954, with same
behaviour, but it has status fixed. Relevant information is below.

After removing that, it seems to run fine. I think the bug can be
