Forgot to mention that the battery info key (Fn+F3) also doesn't work,
all the keys worked perfectly on Ubuntu 8.04.1 AMD64.

All the media and Fn+F# keys work for my laptop(same as bug reporter's,
a Dell XPS M1210), EXCEPT the Fn+F1 (Hibernate), Fn+F5 (Scroll Lock) key
combos.

Interesting, this also affects my Dell XPS M1210, key map for Suspend to
Disk(Fn+F1), Scroll lock(Fn+F5) doesn't work. But the Suspend to Ram
key(Fn+Esc) works.

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 on a Dell XPS M1210, Fn hotkeys: Fn+F1
(Hibernate), Fn+F3 (Battery Status) and Fn+F5 (Scroll Lock) used to work

I can confirm this /problem/, I have the exact some laptop as you are
with same ethernet chip except that my Wireless is a Intel PRO/Wireless
3945ABG.

I can confirm this problem also happens for me.
If I let it automatically decide the size of the partitition and create
encrypted lvm volume, it will install fine, but it can not mount the
encrypted LVM after typing in the passphrase during the boot process
right after install.
