I have similar problems with a cifs/smb mount sometimes.
Can not reliable reproduce this, but maybe adding lines to
/lib/systemd/system/remote-fs-pre.target

I am running 2.6.32-21-generic and it works.
I downloaded svn from linuxtv on 21.2.2010 and edited the patches manually in.
I did not reboot with 2.6.32-22 yet, but dont know a reason it should not work.
Will try it today, and if i dont write here it still works.

and compile the modules yourself to get it work.
Sadly noone seems to be interested in integrating them. The Ubuntus are not
interested, and although upstream was informed there seems to be no move, too.

As dmb stated he will look into the HVR 4000 problem next week. He is running
this card in his production mythtv-backend, so he has the hardware to test, but

the script, it begins, vi opens the file, i change the values manually (could
be done by a script for sure, but doing by hand is shorter than thinking of a
right script), save the file, and the script continues. Reboot

So mythtv is not responsible. I started the laptop, only started firefox, and
now, some hours later the same freeze.

I disabled triplebuffer again. So when next crash occures, i will add the
needed info.
It can last a while, as yesterday i had no freeze (triplebuffer was enabled at
that time). So as freeze is not reproducable, it may be some time till i post.

Just tested a bit further.
Disabling triplebuffer seems to solve the crash, so you seem to be right. Had
that in my config since long time, as i read it should improve performance on
nvidia cards (the old known issue, that should be gone now with actual drivers.)
But maybe that helps someone find

Johnny Levai: As for me it only happens for flash video and not for virtualbox
or others, i dont think its the xserver.
For me the problem was on nvidia and intel so it should be in both or none
driver. For me it sounds like its more likely a flash fault, and it seems that
its now working after

I have the exactly same behaviou. On clicking on the progres bar video
starts again, but again only for about 3 seconds.
Intrepid 64bit, nvidia graphics, firefox and konqueror
flashplugin-nonfree (libflashsupport installed and uninstalled)
nspluginwrapper is installed because its a dependency
I can confirm this behaviour
