I have this device working on an Asus P5VD2-VM based machine running
10.10 32 bit. Strangely however it works only if plugged in a front USB
port. It does not work either in the motherboard's rear ports or in a
PCI-to-USB card's. I am available to test if useful.

I have similar behavior and it seems to be related to Bluetooth malfunctioning.
For some reason I have a BT dongle which works only on one USB port of the
computer. When plugged in another port, apart for not working, when hibernating

In Gnome it was not responsive. In KDE (I went back to it in the
meanwhile) minimize to tray works correctly when double clicking on the

I can confirm having this bug while browsing the documentation with any
browser in Hardy. "sudo gunzip /usr/share/doc/python-
gtk2-tutorial/html/examples/*.gz" fixes it.
