I try to upgrade to version 13.10 of Ubuntu, but it gives me the

I enabled the Nouveau driver in my Ubuntu 13.10 and started using my
laptop.
After I used it for few minutes (3-4 minutes) the system froze. Only the mouse
was working.
After about 1 minute the mouse cursor stopped responding as well, leaving me
with a 100% frozen laptop.
After some further investigation I discovered that the private key does not
have a password.
Could it be then that the software was detecting this and not saving the
password on purpose?
If so the bug is invalid.

I configured a openvpn based connection using Network Manager.
I did set a gateway, user's certificate and user's key and CA's certificate.
I did insert the password for the private key.
Then, in "Advanced..." I checked the options:
- Use a TAP device
- Use LZO data compressi
Any news on this? I think that Juju on LXC shouldn't be treated as a
"second class citizen", it could perfectly solve someone (mine :) needs!

I upgraded my drivers to version 304.48 and the problem didn't go away.
As a side note, I had to do it from the console, the graphical tool was giving
me errors when trying to install the experimental package.
My impression is that some regression in mesa or a similar
I don't know what has changed but now the problem doesn't show up anymore.
The day before yesterday I forgot to boot with kernel
linux-image-3.2.0-31-generic and booted with linux-image-3.2.0-32-generic but
the graphics showed up correctly.
Since then each boot-up works as expected.

recently I noticed that the graphical performances of ubuntu have

After the reboot, instead of seeing lightdm popping up the system presents me

If I reboot with kernel linux-image-3.2.0-31-generic the problem goes away.

I installed the server with english locale en_US.UTF-8 but I was logging it
with LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8.
After I issued locale-gen it_IT.UTF-8 on the server, the issue disappeared.
Hopefully this is the reason behing the bug... ^^
