Actually, scratch that, the two options did not help at all. The
flickering is terrible as before. I restarted the machine to make sure.
When I have two Chrome browser windows open, one works fine, but the
other flickers like crazy when switching tabs.

I also ran into this issue after upgrading to Trusty (nvidia driver
331.38). Checking "Force full screen redraws" and "Force synchronization
between X and GLX" seems to have helped.

I'm sorry I missed the initial notification. The problem is still there
in KSocrat 3.2.1. To reproduce, just run `ksocrat` and enter, say,
`auto` in the word field. There is an exact match, yet it is at the
start of the list which has been scrolled to the end.
