I can confirm the same behaviour with Shotwell 0.10.1 running on Ubuntu
11.04 and accessing its library via a Samba share on a server running
11.10. The machines are connected via gigabit Ethernet.

Apologies for the thread hijack - could you please advise how I can
apply this fix (video.diff) to a new Gutsy installation, to stop
periodic brightness flickering of the LCD panel. I believe it's related
to the issue described by Matthew Garrett above.
