Hi,
On some powerpc platforms the kernel from daily builds of raring (tested
20130318) hangs on boot. Patches queued for linux-stable-3.8.4 (not
released yet) fix the boot hang. I tried booting the daily build initrd
with a kernel build using the mentioned patches and the s
What you have is ancient, I don't know about it.
Did you run it as root?
Note that on PS3 you cannot change the video mode when X is running.
Generally, it is better to add the video mode to the kboot.conf entry,
and not use the command line utility.
