Also, tail -f /var/mail/humphrey does not clear the previous log so you
would get the same error every time in your log file, even though the
command works correctly. A better way is:
/usr/local/bin/bup > /path/to/logfile 2>&1

Make sure you use the complete path to the script, ie not ~, but:
/home/john/script
Does the script have the executable bit set (+x)?
For any of the above problems; if what you are trying to run, in John's

support for parsing command lines that are not created with Gnome
Schedule. It has to make a few assumptions, looking for stuff like
'>/dev/null 2>&1' to figure out a few things. The procedure isn't

Well, I am planning to release a new version, nothing big, just
bugfixes, updated/added translations of both the application and

Yes, it would. But I would rather recommend to upgrade to the latest
version than to patch the current version to something equivialent to
the new one :) it is better in many ways.

otherwise trunk still uses the standard ui and is available at gnome
