I don't know if this might work for everyone but a workaround to the
"Cannot refresh cache whilst offline", is to restart the packagekit
service:
Do a:
systemctl status packagekit
and you will get lines like this:
PackageKit[2067]: refresh-cache transaction /193_cdedbaab from uid 1000

but i still have the same problem.

It's actually not a bug, but the fullscreen method which was used. Now,
since version 0.9 we are using WM fullscreen and keyboard shortcuts
should work without issues. So this bug report can be closed.

Wine developers on all places seem to say that winepulse is not needed
and that alsa plugin works fine. No, it doesn't work properly. I have a
problem with crackling sounds since I started to use pulseaudio (since
Ubuntu 13.04 to 14.10 currently). And it's not a problem with

Crackling sounds occurs in every game which I played under Wine. Of course not
always. For example: Sims 3, Luxor 1, 2, 3, 4, Croc 2, Fifa 12, Bejeweled 2. I
noticed that actually sounds are still playing, but much faster than they
should.
lspci says:

After a fresh install and updated to the latest version, the problem is gone.
Current kernel is 3.2.0-23-generic.
I don't know if some other software package can affect power code. I will see
if this problem will happen again to my laptop.

So ... how can I fix it? I have never used the totem before, after I
have the gstreamer plugin for mp3, mpeg..., the totem can play the mp3
files, but I can't test if it can play DVDs.

I think this bug has been fixed by this patch:
* debian/patches/00_fix_xfwm4_hang.patch: fixes system freeze when linked
with gtk2 2.11.x (see Xfce #3346)
Since I updated it on Aug. 2, no system freeze any more by using xfwm4.

It's easier to reproduce it if you keep following software running all together:
■ WM setting: Window gets focus while mouse pointer moves over.
■ terminal (xfce4-terminal or gnome-terminal )
■ firefox
■ gthumb (with a picture file opened )
