This is more of a "feature" than a bug... If slow keys gets turned on somehow
and the user is not aware of this,
it can look like the keyboard is not working. I spent days (10?) with the
consultation of my local Ubuntu folks before someone
finally thought of slow keys. One
again then.
BTW I tried the same url today and got the same result (still on ver
6.06).

I'm using Ubuntu 6.06 Firefox 2.0.0.7 Totem 1.4.3
When trying to access (from Firefox):
http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2008/02/03/clintonvisit/
I selected "open with ... Totem (default) and got the error message:
Totem could not
It will be a few days before I can get to this, but will be happy to
provide this data as soon as possible..

I went back and followed Todd Deshane's input above, reverting to revert
to the earlier kernel (2.6.19-4-generic-amd64) for both my dom0 and

I forgot to mention that dosemu (1.2.1.0) does work from a virtual terminal
with Fedora Core 1 (more or less - I dont do so

When I type "dosemu" into a Gnome Terminal 2.14.1 window,
I also get :
ERROR: Unable to open console to evaluate the keyboard map.
Please specify your keyboard map explicitly via the $_layoutoption
I have found a few other symptoms:
