Remove the ppa and downgrade the packages fixed the problem for me as
well.
gvfs + libmtp ppa can be replaced with this other one:

I sending a file to MSN buddy but he can't see the reply to accept on decline
the transfer the same occur to me when he send a file to me nothing happen.

Hi! the problem is: the inser botton on the pidgin chat (version 2.10)
ubuntu 11.10 not show the image able to use only showed the link and
horizontal rule. The buddy was try to " inset image" it is in MSN
In tools\ preferences \conversation \default formating it's ok.
