The generation of Raw thumbnails takes ages right now. I shoot Raw for
years, I always used Ubuntu, and it's the first time that it's so slow.
I didn't change my camera (Canon 5DIII & Sony Nex5N). And my computers

I tried your workaround, but the new icons have a grey background, not a
dark one. So it helps, but it looks quite ugly :)

I can confirm I have this problem too. I can easily reproduce it as our
9.04 configuration is installed using CloneZilla. I tried the upgrade a
couple of times this week to make sure it can be reproduced. So I can
easily send you all the files from the original 9.04 installation.

When trying to save the DB on a gvfs mount, it creates the file, but
with a 0 bite size, and this error: "File could not be saved. The file
could not be resized".

Same for Canon CR2. If the file is created with the .CR2 extension, the
thumbnail is created automatically. If the file is created with the .cr2
extension (image/x-canon-cr2), no thumbnail.
