I'm not sure what to do about the other message concerning the
autopkgtests. If I click on the link, I don't see anything related to
cwltool, libmaas, pipx, or subdownloader.

I tested python3-argcomplete/noble-proposed with the steps from my
original message and the tab completion worked for me.

The package for Ubuntu 24.04 installs argcomplete version 3.1.4 which is
incompatible with Python 3.11.9+, 3.12.3+, and 3.13+. This is fixed with
