It isn't an issue anymore in Linux Mint since at least version 9, based
on Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope. I'll confirm later where my driver is from,
maybe the Mint guys patch it.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-psb
I and several other people have been having problems with the
xserver-xorg-video-psb driver when upgrading kernels.
Doing...
apt-get remove psb-kernel-source
apt-get install psb-kernel-source
...after installing the new kernel, r
Solved here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-psb/+bug/406651
Short story:
sudo apt-get remove psb-kernel-source
sudo apt-get install psb-kernel-source
will fix it (provided you have the driver packages updated and installed
already). install --reinstall won't work.
Oh and The Solution works when updating to -15 (what I really tested) so
I think it'll work on any update (please correct if that inference is
wrong)

I'm on a Dell Inspiron Mini 10. The same problem (video not working the right
way on new kernel) happened to me when I upgraded fron -11 to -13. I solved it
that time by reinstalling xserver-xorg-video-psb. But now it doesn't work.
I tried Steve Jenkins'
apt-get remove psb-kernel-source
apt-get
Last kernel update on 2.6.28-13 fixed psb again automatically, but it
broke on 2.6.28-11. I guess I'll just keep booting on -13.
