@nicola Had tried nvidia-346 from xorg-edgers and it's the same thing... (no desktop after login in my case; have tried nvidia-331 and nvidia-331-updates). With nouveau drivers I get to the desktop (though I can't change resolution to wide-screen) [Asus N53, Optimus, GT425M, fresh install 14.04.1
