I'm on Ubuntu 17.10 (fully updated, including Gnome-Shell). Hardware is
a Lenovo X1 Carbon Laptop with Touchscreen. I've reproduced this issue
on both Wayland and XOrg. I've reproduced this issue on the 17.10 live
CD (Xorg) and on a fresh 17.10 (Wayland) install in VBox.

option in caribou/gnome-shell where the people who still want to use it,
can turn off the auto popup feature (the one where caribou pops up
whenever an editable area is selected). Leave it to us to swipe the

Was this fix applied in 17.10? I'm still getting Segmentation fault
(core dumped) when trying to run a non-root synaptic (basically for
browsing purposes only) in Wayland.

I only get this if I try to run synaptic without root access:

I have this on and off bug in Nautilus that occurs at least once a day
(though sometimes it could be upwards of 50%
