I am sending messages to two users on a server on my local machine.
messages come but there are errors in the console.
if you send a message to only one user, then there is no error.

After the grub menu and ubuntu selection, sometimes the screen turns
black. To fix the problem, I installed ubuntu 20.04 and updated the

I don't understand all these comments saying that. That is what the
whole thread is about!
People post some method to make life easier, and immediately the
response is "but it should work without that." Duh, of course. That
doesn't make the suggesti
No, no one is saying it is not a bug. I was just showing what was
happening that was causing (at least this particular manifestation) to
happen.
You are at risk of invoking the bug if you do anything other than
straight, continuous typing. Hitting Enter does not invoke the bug.

Folks, the reason most or all of these manifestations(created by
numerous different steps--which make them SOUND LIKE different bugs) is
this...
when you first type "This is a test " or what ever at the top of the entry
area, what is really there is

To ThomasNovin : same here, I lost all my printers when commenting out
the "Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock" line (leaving the "Listen
localhost:631" line uncommented). All my printers are network ones, and
among them 2 HPs. It seems that the proposed workaround is incomplete in
our case.

Yesterday I upgraded from ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 and I experience the following
problem when booting.
(everything was fine in 9.04)
What I expected to happen:
I expected to the boot luks passphrase entering procedure to be the same as in
9.04.
Today I deemed it safe to upgrade my ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10. After 5+ months I
expected a smooth upgrade.
I had splash disabled. I have /home on a lvm luks volume.
Multiple cryptsetup processes seem to be started, directing output/input to
something else than tty1.
With rebooting, trying again, diff
