This still affects Lucid; can't get my mouse (same M555b) working on a
Toshiba Qosmio. It works fine with Maverick and Oneiric Beta 1.

Not sure if that is different from previous versions, but:
Oneiric A3 displayed a similar "maze" as before (Lucid, Maverick), but
after a while, a mouse cursor appeared and I could control it from the
touchpad. Weird. I also can get into a tty, too, which I don't think was
possible before. Did so
This still affects Oneiric Alpha 3.

Here's a patch. I've modified the usb-creator to format the partition
that is selected - or the USB disk otherwise. Tested it on a stick with
2 partitions, seems to work fine, it even boots (surprise!).
Feel free to change the patch or modify as you see fit.

Compiling fresh from their source (from svn) seems to respect
irc_join_delay variable - UNLESS the server sends a JOIN command (from
my understanding of the code).
Does /set irc_join_delay 5 fix the problem? You might need to change 5
to 15 or 25 or whatever seconds - it will wait that much time b
