I can manage to bring the whole cluster down and restart at the new
version. I.e. I can manage a few minutes without cluster (for example
during a weekend).
Would that work to update everything?

The following workaround solved the problem for me:
$ killall pulseaudio
$ sudo apt-get install timidity
