@Kovind: I understand your desire to maintain compatibility with
environments that lack pmount as an option. How about adding support for
pmount OR your mount helper, perhaps via a compiler directive? Make
pmount the secure default; if a handful of people want to use Calibre in
an environment that

Has there been any research into this issue? At the moment I'm unable to
package my applications against qwt because they fail to autobuild when
libqwt.so is not found.

After installing libqwt5-qt4-dev, I also could not compile until I
manually created a softlink using:
ln -s /usr/lib/libqwt-qt4.so /usr/lib/libqwt.so
Shouldn't this link be created by the dev package? Or am I missing
something obvious just like these guys did?

One of the problems with Google's encrypted searches is that not all of
its services are included. For example, image search does not have an
HTTPS equivalent. So if a user's default search is encrypted, the user
won't be able to find image search on the side bar and they won't know
why.

Quick followup: Re-installing and then re-un-installing the package
kubuntu-artwork-usplash seemed to force the mouse cursor back to normal.
Not sure why it was necessary to uninstall that package twice.

Same problem here on Karmic; tried out installing kubuntu-desktop just
to give it a spin, but now my cursor is stuck as kubuntu's cursor. I
tried changing it in Appearance->Themes->Customize->Pointer. It appears
to change back to the normal cursor when the mouse is within an app like

I can confirm this bug. Folders aren't refreshing automatically when

I have been unable to reproduce this error in Intrepid (fresh install,
not an upgrade from my Hardy install). If no one else can confirm that
this problem exists in Intrepid, I'm going to close the problem as fix

Update:
I finally remembered to run rhythmbox from the terminal and induce this
problem. Without debug set (-d option), nothing interesting at all
happens. With debug mode set, something interesting happens: nothing.
That is, during the bug, output to the terminal just stops.

Giving a short re-summary of the problem: when using rhythmbox, if a
user changes the system volume by using function keys or "special"
volume keys (such as the ones HP puts on their laptops these days), the
system will temporarily hang. Sound continues to play with no problem.
