We solved the problem by reinstalling gnome-panel and disabeling
FastYouserSwitchApplet in the panel.

In ubuntu gnome the panel in top of the screen does not load most of the
time after startup. When I pressCtrl Alt Del The message: Panel does not
react (inDutch). Before the update the Acer Aspire 5514 WLMi worked
