I've been having the same issue on my Dell laptop (XPS M1710) and now Dell desktop (Dimension 537 quad core). I don't know if it's happening on my ancient HP Pavillion 523n, but don't think so. It's using the previous version of Ubuntu server. My other machines use Ubuntu Karmic x64 desktop. --
