I have same behaviors.
The different icons on my desktop not working. (home, trash and any folder)
also with right click and select Open or open in new window or in new panel.
The Other icons works successfully: *.desktop and files with default
application.
In my syslog:
Unable to create File Man
i have compiz 0.9.9~daily13.04.18.1~13.04-0ubuntu1 installed, gnome-
panel and i have also the same issue.
