Just to clarify, I had included the patch in Comment 40 so I have not
really knowledge of what happens there.
Any idea why it complains about MozAssert and MozCrash?

Hello,
I had the same problem on Linux ppc64 with a recent hg spidermonkey
checkout.
To this matter, on a recent hg checkout, I tried the patch mentioned in Comment
40, but failed
on jscntxt.cpp. I applied the changes needed by hand and created the following

Updated edgy on Tue 5th September 2006 around 6 pm GMT and the menu works ok
now, so does the alacarte menu editor.
Nice job :)

Guys you could read the replies. It is said that in edgy eft it is
fixed. I've tried it on my "problematic" single g5 and it works, with
sound and everything (except bluetooth i guess)
Just wait for edgy to be released :)

Mine is a Rev B with an Ati card.
Terrace, sure. Just tell me what to do. I am new in the mac on linux
stuff myself, and Eft is the first distro that i've set up working on
the iMac (working with disk install, that is, ubuntu and kubuntu
breezy live worked at it too, but no sound, and crazy fan).
I just tested it with the latest Edgy Eft iso (disk installation).
Both the cd and the disk install work with sound etc, not 1 crash and
its pretty fast too. Just some other glitches but I think these are
eft specific.Oh, the fan sometimes its not working at all, some times
is working at full speed
