The first patch above does nothing to the bring the connection back up
after building my own set of packages. There does seem to be a race
condition of some sort between the supplicant and NM but I'm not able to
track it down appropriately.

I have a Lenovo Z61T laptop with Intel 945GM video card and I am still
running into this issue with the latest updates. I, too, don't have any

Just like Pedro, I too am still seeing flickering on my Thinkpad Z61t
laptop (using the Intel 945GM/GMS card) and it is only occurring when
launching new applications.

The applet transparency "bug" only shows up when I'm using the
Clearlooks engine and any Clearlooks theme. The applet and panel have
different background colors -- for example, the applet has a white
background while the panel has a gray background.

the problem seems to rest with the Clearlooks engine and not gswitchit.

I forgot to add that the freezing that I experience is most always
caused by a fullscreen window of epiphany or firefox running in both the
foreground and background. I notice that if I change desktops away from
or towards the browser window there is always some sort of tearing of
the screen involv

the keys marked action_button_* where * means hibernate, power, suspend
and make sure the value is setting to something other than 'nothing'.

The hotkeys for muting, hibernating, and display brightness adjustment
work fine for me as I have a Toshiba Satellite M35-S456. The hotkey for

I made a patch diffing the toshiba_acpi.c files from the linux-
source-2.6.17 and linux-source-2.6.20 packages. The linux-source-2.6.17
package contains a more up-to-date toshiba_acpi.c file which
specifically includes support for hotkeys_over_acpi.
