Same problem here.
It's independant of the SSH server system (I was willing to connect to 3com
hardware). Middle-button paste is ok directly in window, but not through cssh
input field.
For example, "return" becomes "ê€þûê¬".

Public bug reported:
It's a packaging bug. It doesn't check if /boot is present in fstab and
presently mounted.
configuration step fails.
Even after copying stuff put in unmount /boot into mounted /boot, dpkg report
dependencies problems:
$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
