Lots of background noise whenever turning up the volume.
I tried this on Ubuntu 13.04 also, no luck.
I got this same problem after trying out multiple distros on the same PC. I
don't get this problem in Windows 7 Ultimate at all.

This occurs on the Ubuntu with wubi installer. I have installed previous
versions of linux on the same hardware which didn't have this issue.
Windows 7 doesn't have this issue.
