Hello Pedro, I solved the problem long ago by manually adding "sisfb" at the end of the file /etc/modules, found this hint googling around, don't remember where. I never tested if the new releases work without this trick. Thanks for everything you are doing for the community Ciao, Ernesto On

Public bug reported: Installed Ubuntu 9.10 on an old Acer Aspire 3000 which was agonizing under windows XP. All works fines except for the display which shows lousy colours. Doing "system->preferences->display" i get a "unkown" display, "detect monitors" does not help. Below are extra-information
