The problem experienced in that document is identical to the problem I
experienced and reproduced. When I initially attempted to file a bug
report I was directed by the user interface to comment in this bug
report rather than file a new bug report.
So now I've filed another bug report here:

Public bug reported:
As suggested in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/577658 I am
creating a new bug report for the issue.
I've attached a sample document with a contrived example (changing the
formatting should fix the issue in this case). To see the error:
1. Double click on the graph

This bug is still present in 12.04 and is easily reproducible. The
workaround of changing the formatting to be "Number" does not work in
all situations and sometimes you are stuck with being unable to adjust
the axes.

I *think* it is this bug that has affected me twice recently. Both
times Windows 7 had put itself into hibernate without me realising
(happened when I left the computer on overnight in Windows). I then
continued to use Linux (and the NTFS partitions without problems). When

This bug is still present in a fresh install of 11.04. Ubuntu thinks
it's changing the brightness when I try change it using the fn keys and
moves the brightness bar up and down correctly, but the brightness of
the screen doesn't change (stays on full).

This bug may be a duplication of Bug #50437. I had the same symptoms as
reported here and the suggested solution to Bug #50437 solved my
problem.

I just came across this problem in Maverick.
I adjusted some of the partitions of my hard drive to create bigger swap
partition (so hibernate would work all the time) and in the process had
to recreate the swap partition. After rebooting with the adjusted
partitions hibernation no longer worked -
I ran into this bug on maverick and the version in maverick proposed
fixed the bug for me.

I can also confirm that the lucid-proposed firmware package allows my
wireless card to work.
However, I sometimes experience the similar problem to Kesten (or at
least a problem with the same dmesg output). I'm guessing this is a
separate issue more relevant to Bug #552717, which is mentioned in
I experience the same problem, with the same dmseg output. However I
only experience this sometimes after a suspend, as well as sometimes on

I can confirm that adding the firmware as per #2 will allow wireless to
sometimes work on a Samsung N150 (rtl8192e wireless), on a fresh 10.04
installation. The wireless sometimes works fine, and sometimes just
cuts out, or won't work at all. When it doesn't work, I get the same
