looks like this change broke the installation process of grub-
pc_2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.10 for me (syntax-error in grub-pc.postinst).
Please see bug #1692175, which is for grub-efi-amd64
2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.10 but I believe the file might be the same anyway.
Side question: How do you link two bug
from the changelog of grub-pc ... 3.10:

didn't have much time in the last two weeks, so didn't test any of the
mentioned.
But: using 3.0.0-13-generic-pae, there was not a single incident.
Will try starting again with the newest RC: 10, then 6, 8, 7

just installed gnome-do-docklets from PPA: (http://ppa.launchpad.net/do-
core/ppa/ubuntu)
Now, the battery docklet won't find my battery. When connecting to AC, it shows
a power-plug in an otherwise empty battery symbol
Me too from here,
using a Sony VGN-SR19XN.
No Sound from microphone (but i can get some static by pushing up mic boost).
Also no switching off of the (quite quiet) speakers during headphone presence.
