*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 554172 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554172 I have it back running, the difference between my upgraded systems and the fresh install was that the /etc/network/interfaces file was not there on the freh installed system, i created one with the loopback

[Bug 576241] [NEW] Cups service is not startet during boot on fresh 10.04 install

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups The cups service on my fresh 10.04 install is not executed during system start-up, in fact it looks like none of the old sysV init-scripts gets executed, including rc.local. I have to other installs that i upgraded from karmic where everything runs
