Switch to a terminal (Ctrl-Alt-F1).
Login as your username.
Install linux source (sudo apt-get install linux-source) and headers
(sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.5.0-17-generic).
Uninstall nvidia driver - this depends on which version you
instal

Después de la actualización del 19, la combinación del driver privativo nvidia
y compiz hacen que al volver a reiniciar el sistema no aparezcan los paneles de
Unity ni se pueda usar el teclado. Eliminando los paquetes nvidia-current o
compiz el problema se soluciona.
