I can confirm that either -24 and -25 do not work on my ThinkPad E15 Gen
2 (The ThinkPad T580 of my company has never had an issue with this).
Every time I see a kernel upgrade in my work ThinkPad, I go excited to
my personal ThinkPad just to find out it didn't solve the problem :(

i have the issue with the ThinkPad E15, with Ryzen 5 4500u With Radeon
Graphics (Renoir). I had the issue while booting (2021.10) from the
bootable USB drive (just after selecting Ubuntu from the menu), and also
after installing 2021.04 and upgrading to 2021.10

Update: I have reinstalled Kubuntu on the same laptop, but did not click
"Install third-party software for graphics and WiFi hardware and
additional media formats" during installation. I then manually added the
proprietary Nvidia 390 driver after installation. When on prime-select

I am also affected by this bug. I am on Kubuntu 20.04 on a Dell XPS
L502x. When I am on my Intel card, my computer reports my consumption as
around 22 W. I checked my 'nvidia-prime' package, and it is 0.8.14.
According to Vasyl, the bug should be fixed in this version, but
unfortunately it is not,
I'm currently running 4.15.0-30-generic and still having this problem.
Reloading the module does not help.

All these steps seemed to go well.
I have started the upgrade and it has progressed past the setting new
software channels point which it hasn't in the past.
Seems to have fixed it. I will post again when the upgrade is complete.
