I was affected by this bug (Suspend-Resume-EnterPassword resulted in HUD
displaying). I enabled proposed, upgraded this morning (package version
3.8.5-0ubuntu11.1 amd64 is now installed). Suspend and resume now
results in the desired screen with no HUD. I haven't noticed any
regressions yet. Thank
upgraded, checked, works fine!
Thanks a bunch, D

I think I had the same problem, with the same version of the package: I
downgraded to the previous version (in /var/cache/apt/archives) and the
problem went away. If you run nm-applet from a terminal and try to
connect, you should see that something is crashing (lots of output on
terminal).

I've applied Soren Hansen's patch, and the problem has disappeared from
here (ipw2200, Acer Travelmate)

Hi, I'm on an Acer Travelmate 2428WXMi, built in wireless using ipw2200
module. To try to help narrow things down, Jon Cooper's solution worked
for me, but mlaverdierre's didn't.
Hope this is a useful data point.
