That is no problem, because I can replicate this bug anytime I use ctrl-
alt-F1 and then ctrl-alt-F7 again.
I think only /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old got created, /var/log/kern.log.0
has yesterday stamp, only kern.log was created... I'm attaching all them
files anyway.

And one more thing, since I believe I wasn't precise enough in my
original post: when I try logout/relog or switching users, login screen
appears and works fine, freezing only happens when I actually try to
login again. Username and password are accepted fine, but then screen
just goes black and s

1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next
response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact
kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture.
