I'd like some packagers' suggestions how we should change things on the Marble
side. The current situation emerged from the following considerations:
- all Marble binaries (marble, marble-qt, marble-touch, marble-mobile) should
be compiled and installed by default if dependencies are satisfied
-
Public bug reported:
The marble-plugins package installs
/usr/lib/kde4/plugins/marble/15/WlocatePositionProviderPlugin.so which
has a runtime dependency to libwlocate0. This dependency is missing in
the package, causing the plugin to fail at runtime in Marble and other
applications using libmarble
Public bug reported:
dc1394 has support for Point Grey Chameleon and Firefly MV when compiled
with libusb support. The Debian packages [1] are compiled with libusb
support, while the packages in Karmic lack support for it. It would be
nice to have this feature in the Karmic packages as well.

Similar errors to Sebastian Beca here if I remember them correctly. I
used to run a virtual server powered by Jaunty. The upgrade to Karmic
then killed it with regard to booting from inside the XEN machine, which
uses a 2.6.26-2-xen-686 kernel on Debian Lenny.
I am able to mount the filesystem of

Binary package hint: kpackagekit
In the software updates tab of the kpackagekit ui the two buttons
"select all updates" and "update" are placed next to each other. The
former toggles the state of the packages available for update, while the
latter updates the package cache. T
Public bug reported:
When using binutils-gold, linker errors during the compilation (part of
the fglrx-kernel-source installation) stop the installation from
finishing successfully. Removing binutils-gold as a workaround works.
I don't have access to the logfile at the moment, but can file it in

Same happens when changing authentication type e.g. from WEP to WPA
(like I just did with my router). It didn't remember the new settings (I
connected using the "Connect to other wireless network" option) and I
had to delete the old entry from ~/.kde/share/config/knetworkmanagerrc.

wpa psk key
Yes, it only happens when manually setting up the interface, not when
using knetworkmanager to do it.
