For those who won't get a desktop environment when selecting the "System
Default", try the following on a terminal and reboot: gsettings set
org.gnome.desktop.session session-name 'gnome'
After that, selecting System Default works and solves this bug.

I was able to easily reproduce the bug by using Synergy as client in the

taking a long time to open/show the dash and the #965492 is about taking
a long time to show icons on the dash, after it is opened/shown

I also have this problem. If pidgin was closed while being minimized to the
messaging indicator (running but not on the unity launcher), the list_visible
property will be 0. Then, the next time it opens the pidgin icon will appear on
the unity launcher (or gnome panel, if using it), but clicking

I think I've found the problem.
If I have an app like Pidgin maximized and then close it, but it keeps
running (like pidgin does, or thunderbird if you have a "close to tray"
