bug. A KUbuntu upgrade two years ago failed and corrupted some MySQL
file, so that Akonadi wouldn't start. If I see that again when I upgrade

You're making it sound like I messed it up myself. The point is that my
KDE config was just fine until the upgrade from Lucid and replacement of
konqueror with rekonq messed it up by putting rekonq in the fourth place
of HTML-handling apps even though konqueror was the default prior to the

After more experimentation, I don't think this is necessarily a problem
with packages or audio backends. I am now able to get both behaviours on
the same MP3, with the only pattern being that if an MP3 doesn't allow
random access, I can get it back by first playing an MP3 that does, and

Leann, how about also closing this bug for source-2.6.15, since you
closed it for 2.6.20? Five years on, I would actually prefer to see this
bug closed to having it clog my bug list. It's not a kernel bug anyways,
but a faulty hardware design by Shuttle computers.

Hi folks! There is workaround this bug. You can start ccsm(install it,
if you don't have it). Type "inotify" in filter field. Choose "File
Watcher" disable this plugin(uncheck Enable File Watcher). This disable
the inotify plugin, which causes 100% cpu usage.

ServerAlex "release" the patch 29th of April. Today it's 3rd of June and
bug is still not fixed in git. Why not? It's really so hard to fix this
bug, when the patch is out for about a mounth? :)

What happens when you run Gtk-gnutella from the console? Do you get
output like:
