Public bug reported:
Description of the bug:
When using the 'ubuntu-drivers list' or 'ubuntu-drivers devices' command, not
all the Nvidia drivers are shown, especially in Ubuntu 24.04.01. There are only
4 drivers in the list:
administrator@MS-7984:~$ sudo ubuntu-drivers list
nvidia-driver-470-se
Okay, I fixed the issue by manually editing the lines in detect.py from
this:
```py
def _get_db_name(syspath, alias):
'''Return (vendor, model) names for given device.
Values are None if unknown.
'''
try:
out = subprocess.check_output(['udevadm', 'hwdb', '--test=' + alias]
After upgrading to 24.04.1 (from 22.04), I ran into the same issue. I
really need to ask:
Is there any workaround to removing this error? It clearly indicates
that ``udevadm hwdb`` is deprecated.
So how do I replace the configuration with ``systemd-hwdb`` instead of
udevadm hwdb?
problematic this bug really is.
However, this bug doesn't affect the windows though, only the desktop
support, which is Postgres 8.3 + MediaWiki <1.12.0.
Not the developer version anymore - it works with MediaWiki 1.12. This
is a problem for sites who had postgresql-8.2 installed and were forced
to reinstall due to, say, a corrupt installation.
Sam's fix is a good one, I ended up doing something similar to avoid having a
broken packaging system. As long update-menus is not being run by apt-get or
dpkg, it performs the desired updates and doesn't lock up.
Confirmed in Feisty as well. This one is a real pain that is
interfering with my security patching. Can we please get a minor
version bump on the menu package to 2.1.33? Feisty is currently at
3.1.32, and this minor revision is causing quite a bit of pain for us.
