I attempted to run an installation of Ubuntu GNome 17.04 and at the end,
it said it failed to install grub and I wouldn't be able to boot the
system afterward - no choice to proceed to retry, just report the bug
and cancel.

Install 3rd party - NO
Keep UEFI - YES
Format:
/dev/sda
/dev/sda1: ext4 -> /
/dev/sda2: untouched (Ubuntu 15.10)
/dev/sda3: untouched (shared ext4 partition)
/dev/sda4: untouc
