This problem only happens to chrom{e|ium} on Ubuntu (unsure about other
distro). As well, it does _not_ happen on the Mac, or Windows version.

This is a weird one to describe. Generally, when selecting text with a
mouse, you click where you want to click. Then if you drag the mouse
up, the text to the left (in left-to-right language) gets selected up
until the point of the cursor on the line(s) above. The opposite

Obviously in January 2007 xmms was still a real package. However, yes,
as of 8.04 I see that xmms (base) was removed. There are still a bunch
of defunct xmms packages in the tree however. Which is nice for those
of us who got xmms and installed it from source.

I have the same problem using 7.10 final (fully updated).
I have narrowed the problem down a bit however. When firefox "freezes"
to the grey, it will return to normal color when working again, UNLESS,
it is minimized during the "grey" period.

This here, is a bug. I tried to install flashplugin-nonfree via the
plugin page through firefox. Everything seemed to go well, it said it
finished installing. However, in the details window there appeared:
