Can confirm on Dell D820.
Any idea when this will be solved? It seems that the bcm43xx driver
(which should have been incorporated to kernel 2.6.20) is not working,
Only solution for now is the ndiswrapper approach, as described in here

After upgrading from 6.10 to 7.04 I get this error message on every reboot or
trying to change access the keyboard preferences:
Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap
Since Java 5 is the default for dapper, and since Tomcat 5.5 was
designed to be used with Java 5 I think it worth the effort for if one
or two more libraries needs to be updated as well.
