Thank you both, this fixed the issue. Looking back at my log post I see
the "folders.db" file shown just before the error message. Even though
there seem to be "..if not exist create.." statements even if I was sure
it would be re-created I would not deleted it because I do not know the
data it

Please go to a terminal window and enter "CAMEL_DEBUG=all evolution >& evo.log"
, without the quotes. This will open Evolution, if you get the message on the
bottom on connection failure close Evolution, if you do not get the message
click on send/receive then close Evolution. Go to you
