Sorry it took me so long to post more info. In the mean time, I have reinstalled using Gutsy tribe3 both amd64 and x86. Both times it failed when the extra HDDs were plugged in. Once I tried installing with the HDDs, then unplugging them, then restarting. That didn't work either. Here are the logs
