Running xemacs21 on Ubuntu 16.04. xemacs was installed via "apt-get
install xemacs21". On startup, I consistently get this message:

I upgraded to 3.2.0-34-generic and the slow off-screen rendering problem
is no longer occurring on my Thinkpad X220. Performance is normal. I
haven't tried it on the ASUS yet.

Today I ran the update-manager and accepted all updates. Skype 2.2.0.35
now runs correctly. I can no longer reproduce this bug.

I installed Skype 2.2.0.35 from the Ubuntu Software Center on my
Thinkpad X220 running Precise Pangolin. Skype starts up okay and
displays a window with my contacts. But then the mouse pointer starts
stuttering, and within 30 seconds, the computer locks up completely and
has t
Oops (vsync). If someone can point me to an appropriate benchmark, I
will run it under 10.04 and 12.04 and report the results here. My real
concern, obviously, is my OGRE3D-based robotics application.

boot, the device shows up normally as /dev/ttyUSB0 and works fine.
