In my judgment, this is more likely to be an issue with libgnutls2.6
than mutt.

Testing using a telnet client to attempt TCP connections reveals the following:
- A remote system cannot connect. The connection appears to be passively
refused.
- The remote system's IP address appears in /var/log/messages with an
'INVALID' message similar to that given above.

1) Set BIOS/RTC time to sometime long before the release (e.g. Midnight, Jan 1,
