Public bug reported:
Yesterday I've tried to upgrade Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS to 20.04.1 LTS and upgrade
was done but with errors. After rebooting I've got a number of errors which
most annoying was:
appstreamcli: undefined symbol: AS_APPSTREAM_METADATA_PATHS
When trying to use apt, so it wasn't pos
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
Hit:1 http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic InRelease
Hit:2 http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-updates InRelease
This is a workaround that I applied:
sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx*
sudo apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg-video-ati xserver-xorg-video-radeon
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-ati
sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx libgl1-mesa-dri
xserver-xorg-core
sudo dpkg-r
Public bug reported:
When I install fglrx I have no longer access to any of
tty(CTRL+ALT+F[1-6]. As workaround I switched to xserver-xorg-video-
ati, as described on: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1967047
** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status:
I think this error was caused by SD card reader, when I unplugged it
error disappears.
