Yes, I agree, ~40% of my resume from sleeps fail (AMD 7800X desktop, w/

My bug symptoms are different as my PC successfully reaches a suspend
state. After additional testing, the PC will successfully resume about
50% of the time with the 6.8.0-31-generic kernel. Another side note,
when the PC sleep is initiated by the user, PC resume seems to fail more
consistently.

I confirm this issue. I see flickering/screen flashing after waking from
sleep on a GTX 1080 card, NVidia driver 418.56. Disabling compositiing
kills the flicker, but flicker returns upon compositing e-enable.
Plamsa and kwin restarts fail to rectify. Reboot is the only sure fix.

Resumed 3 times from sleep with the 4.20 kernel, so far sound is working
fine.
Sometimes the issues does not appear until the next day (warm vs cold
hw?), so I will report back tomorrow.
If sound works for next few day
I still lost sound after setting "realtime-scheduling = no" in
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf.
Previous kernels have worked fine with this hw.

Another note, in the last 2 years, Ubiquity has never booted correctly
on this hardware so this problem is not something new. I never realized
the issue was ubiquity until today. (Neon live booted on this laptop
without requiring nomodeset and thus provided the ubiquity clue as Neon
does not use
Removing the maybe-ubiquity from the boot params, booted to live session
3 out 3 attempts.
Sometimes the ubiquity boot will fail before the Try/Install menu is
displayed as shown in the attachment. And it on this hybrid hardware,
Try Kubuntu option always fails (assuming the ubiquity reaches that

Update: If I pause for a minute or so before proceeding to "Who are you
panel?", the install proceeds without issue. Without the pause, maybe

H264video). Jump speed configurations worked as expected. Playback and

in the GUI and when I hit install

FreeType (libfreetype6) 2.9.1 fixes this issue. Hopefully it will

screen when the NVidia card enabled (using the NVidia 384 and 390.xx

Upgrade to frameworks 5.44 was seamless here also. Rebooted and
verified the following:
- KHolidays is working fine in the calendar
- kwallet working great
- baloo is running with minimal memory fingerprint and resource consumption
- kdesu (kdesudo) works as intended
- krunner works awesome as al
I didn't have this problem in Zesty but since updating to Artful a few
days ago this is a problem. I installed Nautilus on Xubuntu (uninstalled
Thunar), and Nautilus opens files with itself until I uninstall exo-
utils. Once I uninstall exo-utils Nautilus behaves as it should.
