Mint 17 64-bit still has this problem from ISOs put on USB drives via
unetbootin. But the problem does not exist when the ISO was put on the
USB drive via usb-creator-gtk.

I gave up on it a while back. Nobody seemed to care about my little bit of
whining. I hope you are more successful! I know of many situations where
multiple users logging in and working on a single Linux server would be a
great big plus.

Prior to Ubuntu 11.04 I could configure grub so that after the menu is
displayed and the system is booting detail of the boot activity appears.
Now there's just a blank screen between the menu and gdm login.
There is no way to coax Ubuntu 11.04 to display the boot activity.

My Dell Studio 1735 laptop has the same problem on Ubuntu 10.10. Prior
versions of Ubuntu back to 9.4 did not experience this issue. I
installed 10.10 wiping out the existing HD instead of upgrading. Close
the lid, wait a minute then reopen and viola:

I suggest someone that likes Rhythombox Music Player 0.12.3 on Ubuntu
have their Grandmother, or Mother try to use the program. Really great
software doesn't need a users guide, it teaches you how to use itself.

constant display on the system tray. But when I click on the system tray
icon, then click on "Laptop battery (45.6%) Device information says it's
charged at 100.0%.

I just had a chance to try this on the same VPN.pcf on Ubuntu 9.04 and
found it has the same problem. kvpnc imports fine, but vpnc and Network
Manager fail to import the Cisco VPN PCF file.

network-manager no longer exits without message when I import the .PCF;
that's GREAT.
But it fails to connect.
kvpn imported the .PCF and connects. It looks like kvpn has an imported
